Responsible for maintenance and repair of transport (semi) trucks; must have own tools, mechanical experience with heavy duty/commercial trucks, air brakes; operating overhead crane and/or fork lift a plus; able to occasionally work on a tall ladder and confined spaces.
Essential skills, duties, experience:
- Able to recognize mechanical components and familiar with basic mechanical repairs
- Owns basic hand tools
- Electric and pneumatic drilling, grinding power tool capabilities
- Basic use of torch set
- Basic use of MIG/TIG welder
- Able to diagnose and repair problems
- Able to read a tape measure accurately
- Makes good use of time and remains productive
- Strong documentation skills
