Machine Operator – Powder Coat

If you like to operate manual and automated machines, and have a keen sense of observation, this is for you. Our operators’ vigilance is crucial to ensure good production operations.

The work schedule goes from Monday to Thursday, 4h30pm to 2h30am, for a total of 40 hours a week. Each shift includes a paid, ½ hour lunch break.

WAGE

$17.96 to $21.95

YOUR ROLE

The operator moves tanks to automated sandblasting station using the manual rail system. After the process, the operator inspects tanks, and moves compliant products to the powder coat system using a bridge crane.

DAILY TASKS

  • Hook the tank to the automated sandblasting system
  • Inspect the tank. If required, clean extra paste with solvent for hydrostatic test
  • Activate automated sandblasting system
  • After sanding, inspect the tank, and sandblast again if it does not comply
  • Replace cap with required gasket in order to go through coating process
  • Using a bridge crane, transfer the tank to coating system
  • If required, clean off projections
  • Paint welded joints following procedure guidelines

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma (D.E.S) – an asset
  • Bilingual – an asset
  • Forklift Driving certificate
  • Bridge crane training card
  • Ability to lift and move weights up to 25kg
  • Can move and bend frequently, and stand up for long periods of time
  • Ability to follow clear instructions
  • Great listening skills
  • Ability to work with short delays
